Art Submission Form
GUIDELINES
1) 1-4 submissions per student.
2) Only one of the submissions from each student will be considered for publication.
3) Only original student artwork will be accepted.
4) Original artwork includes drawings, paintings, sculpture, photography and digital images composed on a computer.
5) ALL artwork must be submitted in .jpg format.
6) A description of the media used in the creation of the work must be included. For traditional media, this includes overall size, media type (graphite, charcoal, acrylic, oil paint, mixed media, etc). For digital media, this includes the name of the program or programs you used to create the work of art.
7) The Artists Name CANNOT appear on the work when submitted. It must be edited out for consideration but can be put back in for publication.
8) THIS SUBMISSION FORM MUST BE INCLUDED AS AN ATTACHMENT OR YOUR SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
Assistance with scanning hand drawn work and paintings may be handled in the Mac Lab (room 2106) with permission. Classes in session in the Mac Lab are NOT to be interrupted. Open hours for the Mac Lab are posted outside the Mac Lab classroom. Hand drawn work and paintings are limited to a maximum of 17” x 12” due to scanning limitations.

Literary Submission Form
LITERARY SUBMISSION FORM
GUIDELINES: All submissions must be in 12pt Times New Roman font. ALL fiction, plays, and memoirs MUST be double spaced maximum of 20 pages. For each semester, every student can submit up to 4 poems, 2 plays, and 2 stories or creative non-fiction. We will not accept submissions without a submission form.
Each entry must be provided in ELECTRONIC FORM. The Author’s name CANNOT appear ANYWHERE on the work. The entries must be provided via email or CD. Each MUST be in both .dox and RTF (Microsoft office 2007 and Rich Text Format)

Creative Writing Contest Guidelines
KCKCC Fourth Annual Creative Writing Contest Guidelines:
Who can participate?
All KCKCC and Wyandotte County high school students are invited to submit original, unpublished works of fiction, poetry, and drama.
When is the contest deadline?
Entries are now being accepted. Final deadline for submissions is 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2012
What kind of work can be submitted?
All writing that is submitted to the fine arts magazine, Scenic Route, will automatically be considered for the contest. Writers may enter work in both categories (poetry and prose), though only four poems, two plays, or up to 20 pages of fiction (double-spaced) may be submitted. Novel excerpts are welcome.
How should writers submit their work?
Entries should be typed. Please double-space prose works. Fill out the submission form with writer’s biography provided at the blogspot. No name should appear on the poem, story, or play. Judging is completely anonymous.
Submit work the same way you would to the Scenic Route magazine: in Microsoft Word 2007 or rich text format to ScenicRouteLitMag@gmail.com
What are the prizes?
First place winners in each category (poetry and prose) will receive a $50 gift card and publication in KCKCC’s student literary magazine and the KCKCC Electronic Journal. 2nd place receive a $25 gift card and publication, and 3rd place publication in Scenic Route. Honorable mentions may also be awarded.
